David Rost

General Counsel

David Rost, General Counsel of Beneficient (Ben), is a corporate attorney specializing in public and private capital markets and securities transactions, mergers and acquisitions, financial products and services development and secondary market private fund transactions.

Mr. Rost joined Ben in 2020 in the role of Associate General Counsel. He was promoted to become the firm’s General Counsel in 2022.

Prior to joining Ben, he was a corporate attorney at the law firm of Haynes and Boone, LLP for four years where he specialized in capital markets and securities, mergers and acquisitions, and fintech minority investments.

In 2014, Mr. Rost was a judicial intern to Justice Kerry Fitzgerald of the Texas Fifth District Court of Appeals.

In 2022, the legal trade publication Attorney Intel named Mr. Rost one of The Top 50 Attorneys of Dallas.

Mr. Rost earned a bachelor’s degree from Cedarville University, a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, a master’s degree from the University of Dallas, and a law degree from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law.
