Chief Underwriting Officer

Scott Wilson, Chief Underwriting Officer for Beneficient, is an investment management leader with over 20 years of experience.

In his position, he leads Ben’s team that is responsible for the review of investments in potential liquidity transactions and for portfolio management and monitoring.

Before joining Ben in September 2018, he was a Managing Director for Highland Capital Management in Dallas, where he was responsible for firm strategy and a middle-market private equity portfolio. Prior to that role, Mr. Wilson worked for McKinsey & Company in Atlanta.

Mr. Wilson has served as a Director on the board of several companies, including Cornerstone Healthcare Group, Tandem Hospital Partners, CCS Medical, Romacorp, Inc (Parent company of Tony Roma’s), American HomePatient and Epocal.

He began his professional career as Engagement Manager for McKinsey & Company in Atlanta.

Mr. Wilson earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
